Hi Again,

I just received more suggestions I thought I would share with you. They keep
pouring in!

Use the ALA Quick Picks. In order to be a "quick pick" a book has to be short, have
a great cover, not have small print, and grab the reader in the first 10 pages. Go
to Click on Book and Media awards and go to Quick Picks for Reluctant
Young Adult Readers from there.

Then for boys, look for books by men. Guys will finish a book written by a man much
more readily than a book written by a female. Someone should do a doctorial thesis
on that.

Try "Touching Spirit Bear" or almost any other title by Ben
Michaelson, Roland Smith has also written several books that might
appeal to your boys.

I know you've already posted a hit - but you may want to try the graphic
novels/regular novels that are hi interest/lo reading levels from Stone Arch
Publishers -
Highest on it would be Sharon Draper's Tears of a Tiger trilogy.
