If you haven't seen one before or the new one, Peaceable Kingdom Press publishes a calendar each year called "Celebrating Children's Books." I found one at Barnes & Noble the other day, but you could probably also find them on-line. The 2007 calendar features a photo from twelve different books written by or illustrated by various authors/illustrators: January features Arnold Lobel, February features Meilo So, March features Dr. Seuss, April features Shel Silverstein, May features Clement Hurd, June features Elisa Kleven, July features Bryan Collier, August features Holly Meade, September features Kevin Henkes, October features Bob Barner, November features Maurice Sendak, and December features Ezra Jack Keats. On top of giving you the normal calendar information, author & illustrator birthdays are also included and quotes from the various books featured. On a side note stated in the calendar, Peaceable Kingdom Press supports RIF.
