Absolutely! GraceAnne is right, I'm a media specialist and review for both
SLJ and Library Media Connection.  I think that you'll find that there are
reviewers you'll agree with and those you won't, once you begin reading one
or more of these resources regularly, you'll begin to recognize the  names
of the reviewers (and also see which schools/libraries they are from).  I
always make sure to note if books are curriculum-connected, storytime
appropriate or best left to large public collections.
