I am considering - only considering at this point - starting a book club for the parents of the students who go to our school. I'm thinking maybe one meeting a month, scheduled just after school starts in the morning or just before school lets out for the day. I would want to read books of interest to adults (not children's books or books about children & child care etc.). Maybe we would read Oprah's books or something. I would need to work that out. But anyway, has anyone done such a thing with the parents of their students? Was it successful? How did you promote it? How did you choose the books? Any tips you can give me if I decide to pursue this endeavor?
