[LM_NET] Share: a warning about DVDs

Dear Netters:

 

Today I broke the seal on a brand new DVD of the movie Speak for a waiting
teacher.  Since I have seen the movie, it never occurred to me to preview
the DVD.  The teacher took the DVD to her room and popped the disc into the
DVD player.  Moments later, the teacher rushed back to the library with the
movie in hand to inform me that the movie was Striptease and not Speak.  

 

I will now read the fine print on the thin black band around the center of a
DVD instead of assuming that the packaging is correct.    

 

The good news is that our kids are high school students and the teacher
caught the error immediately.   The incident also made for a few chuckles in
the teachers' lounge at lunch today.
