I am writing a paper for my collection development class on collection development in languages other than English in school libraries. The research I've read indicates that it has not been common for school libraries to have a collection development policy that includes the development of collections in languages other than English. I would like to hear from anyone who is willing to comment on this or refer me to/send me examples of school collection development policies that include policies for collections in languages other than English? Other resources? My paper is almost done but I would like some feed back on what schools really do vs. the ideal as stated in documents like the ALA's *Access to Resources and Services in the School Library Media Program - An Interpretation of the Library Bill of Rights* Thanks for any help you can supply me, Dawn Mendel LIS Student University of Denver, CO 80208 dawn.mendel@gmail.com dmendel@du.edu -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
