I have 2 middle schools. Both schools have a section other than English. McCarty
currently has over 80 books in spanish. This is due to my really high influx of
students who do not speak English.

Damascus also has over 50 books in Spanish, and 15 books in Russian and 3 books in
Ukrainian (do you KNOW who hard it is to find middle school reading materials in
Ukrainian??). Again it reflects the population that I have at the school.

When I was at the elementary level, I had books in English, Russian, Spanish,
Chinese, Korean and even a couple in Farsi. Again, it reflected the population of
students who were attending the school who spoke a different language.

Now, if you can find me books written in Yep, I would love it, but as far as I can
tell, it is only an oral language.

Gresham is a rapidly growing area with high influx of students from other areas of
the world. Even if there is NOT a formal written policy on creating an area with
books other than English, it is GREAT public PR to do so.

I catalog these books : RUS 599 Author or SPAN Fic Author
This way the books will all be shelved together for ease of finding them.
