To elaborate a bit on a previous post/hit: It is possible for the presenter to see his/her PowerPoint notes while the audience sees only the slides. Here's how: Under Slide Show, choose Presenter Tools or Presenter View. This is from the PPT help file: "Microsoft PowerPoint offers a set of tools to help you as you present your slide show. To use the presenter tools for a live presentation, you must have two monitors set up: one that your audience views and another that is visible only to you, the presenter. The audience sees only the slide show. The presenter's screen, on the other hand, includes the presenter tools. "When the presenter tools are active, they fill the screen. Menus are not available. The dock is not visible. The presenter tools window itself is neither movable nor resizable. "When you present your slide show with the presenter tools, the annotation pen and the Meeting Minder features are not available. "You can also use the presenter tools to rehearse. With only one monitor, your computer screen contains the presenter view. The audience view is not visible. (more follows)...." See specifics in the help file under presenter tools. Note that with mirroring, the second "monitor" can be the projected image that the audience sees while the first monitor is what the presenter sees (the computer). It's a little tricky, but doable--and very cool. Check out more details from Kathy Schrock's blog: http://kathyschrock.blogspot.com/2005/08/powerpoint-presenter-view-mode.html She says she thought she was the last to know! (But she wasn't, because I learned it from her...!)
