Many of the online databases provide Lexiles. Here are a few that I've used / seen / tried / reviewed: eLibrary (by ProQuest) -- provides reading levels (based upon the Gunning Fogg Fleisch-Kincaid Index) eLibrary Elementary (by ProQuest)--provides reading levels (also based upon the Gunning Fogg Fleisch-Kincaid Index) Thomson Gale's Kid's Search --provides Lexiles (provided by MetaMetrics) Thomson Gale's Kids InfoBits-- provides "reading levels" indicated by geometric shapes--green circle is "easy" and orange triangle is "more difficult"--those are based upon publisher's recommendations Ebsco's Primary Search -- provides Lexiles (based upon MetaMetrics) Ebsco's Searchasaurus-- provides Lexiles (based upon MetaMetrics) If there are other databases that you're interested in knowing about the Lexiles or Reading Levels, let me know. I've probably "got them" somewhere among my things---or I can find out about them.
