Friends Here's my original question and the information I've received. Many thanks to all who replied: Our guidance counselor is interested in the "fish" book that is making its way around educational circles. The following is a snip from the LM_NET archives - I need to know if this is the book that goes with the video. If not, what is the book called. Thanks! It's called, "Fish! Catch the Energy & Release the Potential" by Stephen C. Lundin, Ph.D., Harry Paul and John Christensen. It was a Wall Street Journal Business Bestseller. It was presented to our staff at the beginning of the last school year, and it was very enjoyable and motivating to the staff. There is a video that is available also that is a companion to the book. The book is published by Hyperion and the ISBN is 0-7868-6602-0. If you have not used the FISH video form the Pike Street Market in Seattle-it is wonderful and uplifting. The book that goes with it is an excellent short adult book. -------------------------------------- Replies: Fish: A remarkable way to boost morale and improve results By Stephen C. Lundin, Ph.D., Harry Paul, and John Christensen New York: Hyperion, 2000. ISBN: 0-7868-6602-0 It's an awesome book!!!! The book is dumb. It is called "Catch! A fishmonger's guide to greatness." By Cyndi Crother and the crew of world famous pike place fish. I've seen the video, excellent. I read MOST of the book, after the umpteenth chapter telling you each person's story and how the themes and philosophy have worked in their life you are ready to jump in with the fish. They could have easily told in a pamphlet what the 150 page book tells you. Ours is even a signed copy. Yes - you have the right book. Better than that, if you go to www.fishforschools.com you can find that book and a ton more stuff that is FANTASTIC! I love FISH - I own the video and all 5 books. Plus, if you ever get the chance to attend a conference by them - GO! it is truly a life changing experience. Yes, that is it! I have read the book a couple of times, even after it was required, and it always gets me excited about teaching again. Also, the video is good, too. "VAN" ------------ Diane K.
