[LM_NET] Non fiction

Hello everyone,
I am a first year librarian. My question is this... Our nonfiction collection is 
really lacking. Now, I know that I should order books according to what is being 
taught in grades 5-8. But what are some absolutely "must haves" for nonfiction?  I 
do have the Murphy books, Bartoletti, Russel Freedman, Jennifer Armstrong.. etc. 
but I know I am missing a lot, especially for grades 5 and 6.
