(I thought I sent this on Nov 21, but it is in my drafts folder. My apologies if I already sent this. I had several people ask for info on how our day went.) Wow! What a day. Brian Selznick spent the day at Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary School today! We have an amazing book fair coordinator in our school and she was determined to win an author for our school this year. She worked so hard and got all of us involved as well and we did indeed win an author visit from Scholastic Bookfairs. Brian visited with all of our K-5 students, signed books, talked with so many people and hugged many of us. We found he to relate very well to our students and staff and all around he was just great. He brought a great presentation about The Invention of Hugo Cabret for the gr. 2-5 students and a very nice simple presentation for our K & 1 students. I can highly recommend Brian for your school especially if you are in the gr. 3-8 range. If you visit my webpage in the next few days -- "Librarian.
