I agree you have to sell your knowledge and
willingness but there are those who will never come
around.

I have fought for years -- and finally thought I had
made progress and along comes a new principal who
spent 28,000.00 to set up a literacy closet... 
took up a whole classroom and put cards and pockets in
books 

there are days that make you wonder -- but you have to
keep trying -
one thing I ended up doing was getting involved with
state committees that influence decision and policy
making -- if you can win one way try another
