Yes, and my own kids pull me away from the shelves when I do this ("Mom, what are 
you doing?  They have employees to do that."  And always in that totally 
embarrassed tone of voice!).  How does one turn off "the librarian"???  And do we 
really want or need to?  I always just figured I was being nice and helping.

Speaking of librarian behavior in bookstores--do you ever find yourself rearranging 
things which are out of order in the store or returning things to the shelves when 
they have obviously been misplaced.
