I would like to piggyback on this... I have several of these glossed glued
books in pieces on my repair shelf. Actually, I cringe when I see that I
unknowingly ordered one because I know they are going to last about 10
minutes. Is there any way you have found to preserve them OR repair them?

Subject: [LM_NET] GEN: making a paperback book into a hardcover one

I have a number of copies of Total Astrology, a book which the girls love,
but which falls apart very easily.
The publisher used very glossy (heavy) paper -- and there are many pages
-- and glued the pages and they fall out as soon as one opens the book wide
enough.

I would like to get this book turned into a type of Permabouind book.

Does anyone know of a company that does this? (I am in NYC)
