Hey Folks, I had a student come in today looking for a 'usage dictionary'. I was confused, I'm not clear on how a 'usage dictionary' is different from a plain old dictionary. Can anyone clarify? She was quite specific, had to be a 'usage dictionary' because she had to know the words etymology along with the definition. My experience has been that most good dictionary's DO include the etymonology of the the word. Feel like I should know this and don't, so any help would be much appreciated! Lizanell N.
