I decided I wanted to put up a display of "great summer reads" for my high
school students. I am going to talk to the English teachers for
recommendations but was hoping for help from you guys too.

I am going to create a list that the students can take with them for the
summer and also give a copy of that list to our town library.

So I guess what I need is what other high school librarians would suggest
to be "wonderful" tittles for this list. I want a cross between all genres
and reding levels. Including what English teachers might see as summer
reading that would help in their English classes.

I have many ideas of my own but would love to her what you guys thing also.

This is my second year in this library and circulation was way down when I
got here. I have totally revamped the ficiton section and have actively
been pulling my readers back in. (I was in the elementary and then middle
school libraries of this district before the high school so I was very
familiar with the students.) This year I will have quadrupeled circulation
and I want to keep as many reading over the summer as possible.

So any suggestions would be greatly appreiated. I would also love to hear
about fiction choices for the faculty this summer. I have many readers on
my faculty and I know they are always searching lists to see what to read
next.

Thanks for your help!
