This is my first time to post; I hope I don't blow it.

Last Friday I made a banner proclaiming  School Librarian 
Day  and hung it behind the circulation desk.  I had 
planned on teasing the junior high school kids asking them 
if they brought me a treat.

A teacher passing through the library noticed my banner 
and wished me a happy librarian's day.

An hour later a floral arrangement was delivered to me; an 
hour after that I received a basket of goodies.  I 
discovered someone had decorated by doors with wonderful 
signs full of praise.

Before the end of the day a student delivered a card that 
had been signed by most of the faculty.  Most wrote a 
little note telling me they had enjoyed working with me 
and wishing me good luck wherever I would be going 
next.Realizing they had also passed around a card for a 
staff member that really was leaving, I laughed, saying 
that many of them were going to be disappointed because I 
am not leaving.

It turned out to be an uplifting day for me!
