I am overwhelmed to say the least..I am taking over for a very nice but very much a pack rat librarian. The library as a whole is small but there are about 4 storage rooms with stuff in them that I know people do not use anymore. I am at a loss on how to organize this mess, can someone give their opinion as to whether you would keep record players, LPs, slide projectors, and old old collections of books about our state (New Mexico). Also, how do you weed videos? I am afraid I am going to be getting rid of more stuff then what I keep in the library. I also would like some input as to other middle school library floor plans (where are your fiction, nonfiction, reference, profession collections) and if you have seperate collections that I am not thinking about that apply to middle school. I did take some pictures so if anyone wants to see and offer suggestions let me know and I will forward to you Veronica Morris -Librarian West Las Vegas Middle SchoolLas Vegas, New Mexico veronicamorris2004@hotmail.com 505-718-9571 "School Libraries help teachers teach and children learn" Laura Bush First Lady of the United States of America _________________________________________________________________ Your PC, mobile phone, and online services work together like never before. http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/108587394/direct/01/ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
