Hello holders of collective wisdom! I've been asked by my superintendent to gather information about High Schools using online textbooks. This is prompted by the recent purchase of 3 (yes, three) Chinese language textbooks for the sum of $600. He's thinking there must be a better way. So my question(s) is: Is any high school out there using online textbooks? How do you deliver them to students? Have you purchased laptops for students? Have you purchased readers (Kindles or other)? If you have purchased hardware for student use, who pays for damages? What do you do about kids with no access at home? Any other potential pitfalls that I've not thought of right now? I know that this is being done a lot at the college level, but computers are required at many college campuses, and wireless access is the norm. Thank you for your help.
