I am planning a trip to Birmingham this March as a result of my husband's job offer. Though I have been doing my homework on the city, nothing beats direct information from those who live there. Would you be willing to give me a capsule of your experience there? Standard of living, crime/safety issues, friendliness, culture, healthcare: I am interested in your take on these things, as well as anything else germane to a possible re-location. Thank you.
