Hi Paula Way back when an Australian company developed an early childhood interface to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and called it Max's Sandbox. This is marketed in the US as Scholastic Keys http://www.tomsnyder.com/products/product.asp?sku=keykey and it is the most useful piece of software that I have used with this age group because it is open-ended rather than being drill-skill-kill. Another that I also love is Kidspiration http://www.tomsnyder.com/products/product.asp?SKU=PIRKI2 When I searched for "Scholastic Keys' this http://www.tomsnyder.com was the first site in the hits and they have a searchable database of school-based software so that might also be worth exploring.
