Dear Nancy
I am currently writing some books for teachers of K-2, 3-4 and 5-6 focusing on
information literacy
and I have found that right from the start I have them using blogs and wikis and
timelines. I also
like the tools at http://www.4teachers.org/ and http://www.web-and-flow.com that
allow teachers to
put stuff online for the students to use.

Otherwise, having decided on a particular activity, I go to
http://www.go2web20.net/ and then search
for an application that meets my needs. This is just-in-time learning for me
rather than
just-in-case and given the speed of development of the tools, it might be better to
approach it from
that angle rather than having them as overwhelmed as you (and most of us) are. It
also might
unearth something new or an alternative to the traditional (for example, there are
more bookmarking
sites than delicious) and give those folk a boost that enables them to develop
their products
further.
