My 3rd-4th graders (and even 5th) really enjoy
Geronimo Stilton
Sammy Keyes series
any graphic novel by Jeff Smith
Judy Moody series
The Star Jumper series
Pam Munoz Ryan books (Paint the Wind, Esperanza Rising, etc.)
Hugging the Rock by Susan Taylor Brown
Katie Kazoo series
Magic Pickle series (sometimes cataloged as graphic novels sometimes not)
Anything by R.L. Stine
Boy of a Thousand Faces by Brian Selznick (not new but I've two copies that are
constantly checked out)

Hope these help! Would love to see a hit and see what others have to offer!

Reading is not a duty, and has consequently no business to be made disagreeable.
