I had a gecko that I named Chet after Bruce Hale's hilarious series. He was a hit and very easy to care for. I switched schools and my new library is outlet-challenged so I didn't bring him in the first day. I mentioned to my aide that I had a lizard and she freaked. Since I made a ton of changes over the summer that she has been very gracious about, I haven't pushed to bring him along. Personally, I love library pets. The teacher across the hall's daughter has the CUTEST guinea pig. That got me to thinking it might be fun to have a library pet (maybe a guinea pig) in the library. Anyone else have a critter? Any words of encouragement or caution for me? I am aware that I would be taking the little guy home on holidays. Tere Hager Secondary Librarian Brentwood Christian School 11908 N.
