I had a gecko that I named Chet after Bruce Hale's hilarious series. He
was a hit and very easy to care for. I switched schools and my new
library is outlet-challenged so I didn't bring him in the first day. I
mentioned to my aide that I had a lizard and she freaked. Since I made
a ton of changes over the summer that she has been very gracious about,
I haven't pushed to bring him along.

Personally, I love library pets.

Subject: [LM_NET] pets in the library

Our Environmental Science class is doing their pet projects this
quarter so
there are all sorts of cute furry (and some not furry) critters around
school right now. The teacher across the hall's daughter has the CUTEST
guinea pig. That got me to thinking it might be fun to have a library
pet
(maybe a guinea pig) in the library. Anyone else have a critter? Any
words
of encouragement or caution for me? I am aware that I would be taking
the
little guy home on holidays.
