Does someone have a pithy way to explain the difference between literacy and library? I noticed that the teachers at my school, when talking about "outer" disciplines talk about art, music, PE and literacy, but not library. I feel that we school librarians/media specialists are teaching information skills and promoting the love of reading, but that is not quite the same as literacy. The teachers are also putting use of the Internet into library skills- and that doesn't quite define what I do either. Any ideas?
