I read a couple of Rafe Esquith's books this summer. I've read Ron Clark in the past. It's nice to read about people who manage to achieve something significant. But they are teachers. Do any of you know of a good inspirational book about a librarian?? There are a few model I've looked up to - an item in the paper years ago about a woman in the south who had a neighborhood library in her home, a television movie about a businessman whose wife implored him on her deathbed to open a bookstore in the inner city and it wound up being more of a library - but I was wondering if there were any non-fiction books about librarians who have made a difference... Thank you for any help you can provide. -- Mary Ann Shaffer Media Specialist Ivey Lane Elementary School 209 N.
