[LM_NET] TAR: WWII and communication to the public

Hello Wise People,

I rarely believe in coincidences but, today I may have changed my mind. I started 
reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel society this weekend and am loving 
it!! Today a student came to me asking for help finding information on WWII. 
Mainly, she wants to know about how long it took information to travel between 
occupied European countries and the rest of the world. This is the background of 
the book also. 
My question- do you know the historical background of the book or this student 
topic and where to locate it. I can't seem to find the correct keywords for my 
search.
