[LM_NET] Circulation system for small school/collection

I have looked at OPALS online open source automated catalog and am looking for 
other ideas that are inexpensive
for a small collection with a small student body. I like the idea of it being web 
based. For those using OPALS what are the 
cost breakdowns? Self checkout may be our only alternative also. At a minimum I 
would look for something that can import MARC records and do 
self checkout, and incorporate a barcode scanner.

If you know of any standalone non web based circulation systems for Mac or Windows 
please pass that along also. I am looking for something 
with little or no tech support at this time as cost is factor.
