LM_NET Archive



I gave up my ALA membership several years ago because I didn't feel school 
librarians were represented fairly.  I resent that this latest issue of not being 
able to properly use the standards in our everyday lesson plans is another way of 
undermining our roles as professionals in the field.  Why
have standards that we cannot promote in everyday usage?  Sounds like someone got 
paid big bucks to use educational legalize that satisfied some requirement, but is 
not effective in the real world of education and librarianship.
