I'm the librarian at a school for multiple-handicapped children. I have a very large collection of picture books with audio. One of our therapists wants to scan the picture book and put it in a PowerPoint so all a student would have to do is press a button to "turn the page" while the audio is playing. These kids are unable to turn the page of a regular book, but would be able to press a button, so she would be making the book accessible to the student. Also, this would be a part of their therapy. Is this a violation of copyright? Also, for books that don't have audio, she wants to record someone reading it, she'd scan the book, and the student would again press a button to go to the next page in a Powerpoint. Thanks in advance. I'll post a hit. Mari Howells, MLS Librarian Dr. Gertrude A.
