Dear LM_Net, We recently added a lot of paperbacks to our collection and noticed when we apply the Demco Vistafoil laminate to the covers on some books, lovely acne-like bubbles appear between the cover and the laminate. We tried re-applying the same piece to no avail. I believe it's related to the quality of the paperback cover, as most we've done in the past have not been a problem. Even the bar code/ call number label protector slips from the vendor appear to have the same problem as we can see tiny bubbles under these before we apply our laminate. I'm wondering if there is a cleaner/solvent I could wipe the cover with prior to applying the laminate that might eliminate the incompatibility of these two materials.
