Reading the Bible in the Public School I definitely think the teacher was wrong in asking a student to read something else. Many public school libraries have the bible (and other religious books such as the Koran) available for check-out. What would you challenge? I think it would only become a problem if the student reading the bible were offending other students by sharing their belief in conversations that were not agreeable to the entire group.
