On the heals of my earlier post asking members to help us manage listserv traffic, I want to also remind members who find LM_NET volume a bit too heavy to consider our alternative listserv, El-Announce with LM_NET Select. LM_NET Select is a compilation of the most interesting discussions, recommended resources, and other important posts directly from LM_NET organized by thread and shared with El-Announce members three times a week. El-Announce is made possible by school library vendor sponsors, so El-Announce does allow a few vendor announcements (usually less than 5 emails a week) in addition to LM_NET Select. For more information about El-Announce and to join, visit http://lm-net.info/join.html. I'm including our latest LM_NET Select as a sample for any members who might be interested. LM_NET Select For 3/27/09 New, selected LM_NET postings for school media professionals. (Unsubscribe info, etc. is at the bottom of this message.) See these sections below for today's LM_NET selections: 1) HITS, 2) INFORMATIONAL RESOURCES, 3) MISCELLANEOUS POSTINGS PICK OF THE DAY This great idea takes the concept of "speed dating" and applies it to book selection.
