Thanks to all who shared their thoughts. After reflecting on your comments all weekend, I've decided to do the following: Those sets of multiple copies will be reduced to one copy on the shelf. That copy will be the one that is in the worst shape that is still good enough to be on the shelf. The rest of the copies will be put in boxes in the back room. If demand picks up next year, I'll bring another copy back. If a copy runs away I'll have a backup. At the end of the next school year I'll revisit those series. If the demand hasn't returned I'll weed the worst copies. One person asked for any weeded HP books. Since I'm not going to actually weed any of mine now, I can't help. I like the idea, though. If the moderators wouldn't mind, perhaps we can ask for what we need that others might be weeding. I'd suggest that anyone who is willing to help out another library respond off-list, though. -- David Lininger, kb0zke MS/HS Librarian Skyline MS/HS Urbana, MO 65767 (417) 993-4226 t i g e r l i b r a r i a n at g m a i l dot c o m -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
