I put something in place this year for end of year missing books and it
is working so well....

All books were due last week. This week if they come to class and still
do not have the book, I have a letter I typed (one for 3rd-6th and one
for 1st & 2nd).

The students have to miss out the games we are playing
(Brainquest/blurt/knock knocks) and copy the letter to their parents.

I have never had a better return on outstanding books!

It is working so well that I am going to draft a letter similar to this
that I will use next year whenever a book is 2 weeks overdue. Students
will sit and write the letter to their parents.

I like it as it is natural consequences.
