Pranksters rarely think beyond the prank itself. I've heard about so many outrageous pranks this year that are costly for man hours and money; but, at least I'm also hearing that students are being seriously punished for such pranks. These things are often not funny in the end. Last night, apparently, was senior prank night. They thought it would be hilarious to disassemble the cafeteria---and take 1/3 of the books in the library off the shelves and pile them in the middle of the floor. Including a cart of books that had been returned, but I hadn't had time to check in yet. They're now mixed in with everything else. I can not express how thoroughly unamused I am. What a great thing to walk into this morning. Grrrrrrrr. Admin told me I could have the Saturday detention kids to help sort it out--but that means I have to come in on Saturday. I'm sure they thought it would be funny, and didn't bother to ponder the HOURS it will take to put these back in order....
