LM_NET Archive



Reminds me of a couple of years ago, when I had some high school students
making too much noise in the library (I'm pretty tolerant, so "too much
noise" means a LOT of noise. I went over to settle them down and was being
ignored, so I semi-yelled "hey gang - shut up!"  Stunned looks, and silence
followed, and then one of them said "Mrs. Rettberg, you can't say that!" We
all had a good laugh and then they settled down to work. I think they really
felt I had said something edgy, worse than the occasional F-bomb that I
overhear from them...
