I love working at the academic level--- you get SO many "different" types of catalogs! Things that you'd never see in most K-12 school libraries and many items that you'd purchase if knew they existed. Here's one that I'd forgotten about but thought some of you might be interested in exploring: For those who are looking for something different to enhance the history resources available, you might want to consider purchasing some of the unique Jackdaws that are available at: http://www.jackdaw.com Although I LOVE the American Memory project and all of the great resources available for use through the Library of Congress, sometimes it's great to have these types of resources available for immediate use (and handling) by the students and / or the teachers. (To find out more about what a Jackdaw is and how it could be used, go to: https://www.jackdaw.com/t-jackdaws.aspx ) Everything from the Greeks and Romans to Shakespeare to Immigration or Lewis and Clarke are available. (I have purchased some from this company and they have been great for a hands-on project with students.) Enjoy! -- Shonda Brisco Assistant Professor / Curriculum Materials Librarian Mary L.
