I received some very good responses. Both the Nook and the Sony have WiFi capabilities so I can download books easily almost anywhere. They are not proprietary so I can download from my public library and from other sites. They are lightweight, easy to use. I am leaning toward the Nook because of its touch screen controls. They were easier and more intuitive to use I felt. I alos liked some of the features of the Nook , such as being able to read books for free inthe store, to preview books easily and even be offered specials and coupons when you come in with the Nook. The protective covers that you can get are really nice and make it seem as if you are using a book.
