I have been asked to teach a semester-long Graphic Novel elective once a week, starting in 2 weeks. I'm in a bit of a panic because when I had suggested this would be a great elective, I expected to have the summer to create/prepare/purchase for it! If you have lead this kind of elective or a graphic novel Book Club, please share any wisdom. Particularly, does each student need a copy of each book or are smaller "book clubs" within the class better, what are the best choices of graphic novels, do you have a syllabus or plans you'd be willing to share? I've already gotten inspiration from "Reinventing the Book Club" published in Knowledge Quest, but am now in need of structure. Thanks so much.
