Welcome to this week’s update on BTFA. I was going to wait until Sunday but there have been some developments that I can’t wait to share, so it’s going out earlier than planned. (Please note that I will begin putting a copy of these updates in a subfolder of the “Documents” folder called “Weekly Updates”.) As of today, we have 64 book trailers available for download. There have been three new trailers posted since Sunday. I am anxiously awaiting a trailer for a Patricia Polacco book and one for *The Diary of a Wimpy Kid*. (They’re supposed to be finished today) The three new ones are: · *Donut Days*, by Lara Zielin created by June Henson of Flower Mound, Tx (MG+) · *Battle of the Labyrinth*, by Rick Riordan created by Josh, 5thGrader from Pettus, Tx (MG) · *Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot and the Voodoo Vultures from Venus*, by Dav Pilkey created by Jesus, 5th Grader from Pettus, Texas (LG) There has been a BTFA page created on Facebook. If you are on FB, feel free to go and become a fan of the page. Each time a new trailer is uploaded, it will be posted to the FB page. The URL for that is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Book-Trailers-for-All/334149457794?ref=sgm You must become a fan to automatically see the updates on your wall. There will also be an update added to Twitter each time a new trailer is uploaded. Feel free to follow me to get those updates: http://twitter.com/texasbookbabe There has been a “New Trailers” spreadsheet added to the “Documents” folder. Each time a new trailer is added, this sheet will be updated and the file date will be changed. It will be erased and started over each week. There has been a new column added to the “Details” spreadsheet, noting the number of times each trailer has been downloaded. This will be updated once a week and sent out with the Update email. We have had great feedback regarding the fact that the trailers are available on both sites (Teacher Tube and 4shared) Because of this, we are going to continue asking people to upload their trailers to the group on TT. Thankfully, the upload process is the easiest thing about the site, and once you’ve done it once, it’s a piece of cake. If you add a trailer, and you have not added one before, please send an email with your name, school name, and location along with the URL for your webpage of blog, if you have one, to: booktrailers4all@gmail.com Once the trailer is available in the TT group, we will make sure it is added to the BTFA page at 4shared. Remember, if you have trouble uploading to Teacher Tube, don’t hesitate to ask for assistance. Just shoot me an email and I’ll do it for you. I’ve done it for several people already and it’s not a problem for me in the least. I think that’s it for this week. For more frequent updates, please either follow us on Twitter or Facebook.
