[LM_NET] TAR: Elem: Books with simple activities

The post the other day about Picture Book Burnout really hit home with me.
But I am in a bad spot right now with burnout in general! This has been a
cold, long winter for all of us, and it's not quite over yet! So I need to
perk up myself and my kids and I am looking for your help.

Last week I read Mabela the Clever to my K & 1 classes. I taught them the
march in the story while they were at their seats and then we marched to
the story rug. This week they still wanted to do it. One year I read
Cha-Cha Chimps and we did a conga line from the story corner to the
picture books. We must have done that for almost the rest of the year.
(And I need to do that one again...)

I am looking for more books for which there is an easy activity like this.
I never have time for crafts or complicated games to go with a story. The
kids love a story where we can act it out (Little Old Lady Who Wasn't
Afraid of Anything) or do something active like the above.

Do you have any suggestions? I promise I will post a hit.
