It's not censorship...it's collection development.  That's part of  what 
we're hired to do.  That's why we make choices and decisions for our  students 
and our collections.  And because some YA titles contain  age-inappropriate 
content doesn't mean that that's okay, or that it's  a valid argument for 
purchasing MORE age-inappropriate content.   What it means is that some YA 
titles need more careful screening as  well.
 
The answer on the "Dragon Tattoo" series in a school library is  no. They 
CAN find it on their own...at a bookstore or public  library.
