My daughter needs some suggestions for a book to read for her 12th grade economics class. She enjoyed 1984, Murder at the Margin, and The Fatal Equilibrium all by Marshall Jevons. She is required to choose a book which mentions the economic happenings within the timespan of the book. It could be a historical period such as the Great Depression or the Roaring 20s. She has never really enjoyed reading; so the fact that she liked the Jevons required reading is encouraging. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Fiction would be preferred, but do send a nonfiction if you highly recommend it. Judy Brough jbrough@tenet.edu
