A teacher has requested the name of the work by Edgar Allen Poe that refers to the imp of the perverse. He says Poe uses this phrase to describe a feeling such as standing on the edge of a cliff and having the urge to jump. I have no idea if he knows what he's talking about. Could someone help me out?
