A newer electgronic reference I recommended for middle-junior high school
is Biology Digest from Newsbank. We are having good luck with it on a
Novell network; also have the software to run it on a Mac if we want. It
is digested articles in the areas of science and health; adequate amount
of informaiton for that age group and drawn froma wide variety of
periodicals you might not otherwise have acces to.
we never have enough animal reference materials--we buy print and
non-print materials on that topic and at all rading levels.
