We have to get used to the idea that paraprofessionals work FOR us.
If we persist in saying that "We're a team", and "she know as much as I
do", the school board will rightly say "So why do we need you at $30,000
+ a year when we can have her at $6 an hour".
The responsibility of having support staff is that they need to be
directed in their activities.   Order your clerk to stop spending hours
on the cards and spend her time where it best meets the needs of
students.
