I just have to say this to all of you out there, since with each day, week I come to realize that I work in one of the few school districts in the United States that doesn't feel that Library Media Specialists need any sort of clerical assistance. Whenever I hear the word "we" I am green with envy. I serve a very well-to-do high school of almost 2,000 students. I run a very user friendly media center, am open before and after school, as well at lunch time. I teach most days 4 or 5 out of 6 periods, and sometimes 6 out of 6. Clipping for the vertical file?? Sounds like a luxury beyond my wildest imagination... Its done between classes in short bursts of time.
