Dear LN_NETters, I just found a book which has made a huge difference in my professional life and think everyone concerned about getting kids to read should own! It's called "Speaking of Reading" and I'll give more information at the end of this message. It's a collection of reflections by all kinds of readers including Adults Learning to Read and Frustrated Readers. It has certainly opened my "voracious reading" mind to what it is like to be a non-reader, affirmed the importance of my role in promoting reading and gave me insights in how to encourage and promote reading as important and necessary for ALL! Speaking of Reading by Nadine Rosenthal ISBN 0-435-08119-5 Heinemann Publishing, 1995 1-800-847-0938 Enjoy!!! Terri L.
